The Kyrgyzstan Aviation Institute named after Ishembay Abdraimov is an educational organization of higher professional education in the field of civil aviation and provides initial training, retraining, and advanced training of flight and technical specialists for civil aviation.

Ishembay Abdraimov Pilot number 1 in the history of Kyrgyzstan. On his initiative and assistance in 1973, the Frunze Aviation-Technical School of Civil Aviation was opened, later renamed the Aviation College named after I. Abdraimov.

Highly qualified teachers and material and technical base create all the necessary conditions for the full development and training of students. The educational process is conducted in five educational buildings, equipped with modern laboratory equipment, stands, units and power plants of various aircraft, multimedia auditoriums and computer classes, as well as at the college training airfield.

On June 26, 2019, the Ishembay Abdraimov Kyrgyzstan Aviation Institute and the AEROHELP Institute of Air and Space Law signed a Memorandum of cooperation to develop educational, scientific and other forms of mutual cooperation.
