Afanasiy Tomtosov

Education: 

In 2007 he graduated from the Faculty of Law at Ammosov Yakutsk State University (now – the North-Eastern Federal University in Yakutsk) in the specialty "Jurisprudence" with the qualification "Lawyer".

In 2005 – he studied at the Faculty of Law of the University of Tromsø (Norway), full-time education (University of Tromso, faculty of law).

In 2006 – distance learning at the University of Stanford (USA) under the program IDL103 Security, Civil Liberties, and Terrorism.

In 2011 – completed the training program at the St. Petersburg State University.

Teaching activity: 

From 2007 to 2008 Assistant of the Civil Law and Procedure Department of the Ammosov Yakut State University.

From 2008 to 2013 Senior Lecturer, the Civil Law and Procedure Department of the North-Eastern Federal University in Yakutsk.

Since 2016 to present time Associate Professor of Civil Law and Procedure of the North-Eastern Federal University in Yakutsk. He teaches Civil Law, Property Right and Contract Law.

Other Activities: 

In 2005 and in 2006 – scholar of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation.

From 2007 to 2013 – private practice at the law firm (economic disputes).

From 2013 to 2016 – the Head of the Legal Department of Yakutsk Airport.

From 2013 to present time – member of the Examination Committee of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for receiving a qualification examination for the position of judge.

In 2015 – "Lawyer of the Year in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)" in the category "Legal support of economy sectors".

Since 2016 to present time – the Director of Legal Affairs of the Yakutsk Airport.
